The Ghirls will face current league leaders Hibernian at the Penny Cars Stadium at 12.30pm on September 26. The fixture promises to be an entertaining and competitive match – with an atmosphere you won’t want to miss.

After a few days rest and more training sessions under her belt, summer signing Olivia Chance says the squad is ready to “knuckle back down” to produce top performances - starting with Hibs.

The New Zealand internationalist said the game will be high-tempo and likely to be settled by the team who make their chances count.

“It’s one that both of us will want to win, that always adds a bit of excitement,” she said.

Celtic’s last home match ended in a draw against current league champions Glasgow City. But it was anything other than a stalemate after the Hoops went 2-0 down in the first half.

Chance and fellow summer signing Shen Mengyu came off the bench in the second 45 to help level the game, gaining huge applause from the fans.

Chance said manager Fran Alonso is preparing the Ghirls for a hard-fought match - similar to Glasgow derby last time out.

“They’re both physical teams and it’s just really looking after the ball and making sure that we do our processes right and get the three points in the end,” she said.

So far this season, Hibs have beaten Spartans 3-0 at home and faced Motherwell, winning 4-0 away from home.

Come along and support the Ghirls this Sunday, with tickets priced at just £4 for U16s and £8 for adults!

You can bring the whole gang to get involved as league action heats up for Celtic FC Women.

Tickets are on sale now!

Please note, parking at the Penny Cars stadium is charged at £2 on site.
