Manager Fran Alonso hailed the impact new signing Tyler Toland will make, as he teases the new signings about to arrive at Paradise.

With one week and a 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in a behind closed doors bounce match now under their belts, Alonso has been pleased with side’s return to action as he praised the Irish teenager’s debut for the Celts.

“We played our first bounce game yesterday and while it wasn’t an amazing game, at the end of day it was about the minutes in the legs, but we do always want to win too.

“It was positive though. We only had one of our new signings in and we have a few more coming in, but Tyler’s adaptation into the team has been very good and so far it’s all positive.

“Tyler’s CV is super impressive; she’s been at Manchester City who are arguably, with Chelsea, the best team in the UK and was flying with the Irish National Team, so it’s a great signing for us. It’s a position we looked to strengthen, and so far so good. She’s a young player who’s come in hungry and with great commitment to training and work-rate, and her integration has been superb. It already feels like she’s been here for years, and that's something this group is brilliant at,” he added.

The midfielder’s integration into the group is in no small part down to the new schedule in place for the Celts who now solely train out of Celtic Park and Barrowfield. And while Alonso knows it will help the new faces bed into the side, he hopes it can also bolster his squad’s already high team morale.

He said: "We’re delighted as well with our new facilities reporting to Celtic Park and training on the fantastic new surface at Barrowfield. It’s a great set-up that will hopefully help us this season.

“Spending time together is the most important thing for me. At breakfast, they’re talking about everything but football and that’s how you get to know each other, and that’s how teams are built. The time spent together away from football is key, and unfortunately last year we just reported for training and went home, but now they can start to build these relationships even more.”
