Celtic’s under-15s side capped off a season to remember by taking home the title of Youth Team of the Year at Scottish Women’s Football annual awards in Glasgow on Saturday (17 November).

The side staved off stiff competition from Aberdeen Dons under-13s Development, Dryburgh Athletic and Hibs under-19s to pick up the accolade in front of a room full of people from the Scottish game. The charge, headed by coach Stevie Burr, seen the team enjoy a fruitful 2018, sealing an undefeated League and League Cup double, a Dana Cup victory and a Scottish Cup semi-final spot.

The young Hoops were the jewel in the club’s academy crown - a youth system whose production line flaunts seven first team debuts last term, with development and laying foundations for the future remaining Celtic’s priority.

The club also celebrated nominations for under-15’s player Ami Robertson, who was up for Youth Player of the Year for her part in the campaign, while the first team enjoyed Goal of the Season nominations for Colette Cavanagh and Kathleen McGovern and manager Eddie Wolecki Black being shortlisted for Senior Coach of the Year.
